About The Temple

The upcoming Arulmigu Mariamman Temple in Quinlan, Texas, will be a significant landmark for the Hindu community and to perform traditional practices, celebrated as the first Samayapuram Mariamman temple in the United States to feature Kuladeivam (family deity) and Kaavaldeivam (guardian deity) worship. Dedicated to Goddess Mariamman known for her powers of healing and protection,  and other deities like Lord Ganapathy and Lord Murugan will also be in the temple for devotees. It serves as a vibrant hub for religious ceremonies, cultural festivities, and community events, nurturing a profound sense of unity and cultural heritage among its worshippers.

Naattar Deivam worship, integral to many Hindu traditions, involves the veneration of village deities who are believed to protect and guide the local communities. These deities, often associated with specific community or regions, are revered for their close connection to the everyday lives of the people. They are seen as powerful guardians to safeguard the people from diseases, evil energy, and ensure overall prosperity and well-being.

The rituals and ceremonies dedicated to Naattar Deivam are deeply rooted in local customs and folklore. These practices typically include offerings of vibrant festivals marked by music, dance, and processions. The worship of Naattar Deivam underscores the intimate relationship between the devotees and their environment, reflecting a profound respect for nature and community.

Temples dedicated to Naattar Deivam, often modest in structure, serve as important cultural centers where traditional knowledge and practices are preserved and passed down through generations. This form of worship highlights the diversity and richness of Hindu spirituality, emphasizing the importance of local traditions in the broader religious landscape.

In our Arulmigu Mariamman Temple, we are planning to offer worship for Karuappansamy, Ayyanaar and Muneeswaran as part of phase 1 construction and our wish is to include other naattar deivam and kuladeivam as part of this traditional worship journey.
