Pranav Tharagaram

I am Pranavu Tharagaram and a senior and President of the Arulmigu Mariamman Temple
Youth Committee. I chose to apply for the Youth Committee President position to help bridge the gap between today’s youth and the cultural, spiritual, and service-based values our temple
upholds.

Growing up surrounded by Tamil traditions, I’ve seen how easy it is for our generation
to feel distant from their roots. This year, I aim to create meaningful and inclusive opportunities
for youth engagement through service projects, cultural workshops, youth-led fundraising, and
community drives. I also plan to introduce a mentorship system that encourages younger
members to take initiative and find purpose in temple involvement.

My vision is to build a space where devotion, leadership, and cultural pride come together making every youth feel seen, valued, and inspired to lead.
