Shriya

My name is Shriya, and I am a senior at Reedy High School! I’m truly grateful to represent the
Arulmigu Mariamman Temple Youth Committee as the secretary. Service has been an important
aspect of my life over the past few years, and I truly believe this position on the AMT board will
help me give back to my community in a meaningful way, especially because faith has been
significant throughout my upbringing.

As the secretary and social media sector lead, I would like
to focus on connecting with the youth to increase appreciation for our culture and heritage. I
certainly believe understanding and truly embracing one’s culture can play a strong role in
shaping morals and values for many years to come.

Many of my tasks on this committee focus
on facilitating events, creating calendar deadlines, hosting meetings, and ensuring the team
works together effectively. Through my role as an AMT board member, I hope to reach my peers
effectively and share the things I love about my culture!
